              Always delightful kindredspirit :)
Have a couple of lewisias here.....been flowering all summer but I envy you the white variety. Hard to get hold of earlier in the year but it will be on my wishlist this autumn. :)

              Beautiful lewisha @kindredspirit.

Mine were flowering well a couple of months back, but I haven't seen so much as a hint of a bud for weeks. I have three together in a single pot; do they dislike being crowded? Or might it just be the ridiculous summer we've had?

They benefit from regular deadheading 2nd bassoon. As soon as the flowers are past their best I remove them incl stems.:)

Are lewisia easy to come by. I've never looked for them. They look good although I think they may be a bit big for my space. I already have 6 sempervivum that I need to fit in somewhere.

They are best in pots of free draining soil with added grit, with grit collars and in full sun. If planting out in the garden they benefit by being planted slightly on their sides. They resent water holding around their roots and necks. Here they grow in pots and on a sandy, hot free draining wall. :)

They are small plants requiring very little space. They do not like being overcrowded by more vigorous plants. Best as individual specimens I think

They are easy to come by online....down here some nurseries feature a range of them. The pure whites though seem to be in heavy demand

Mrs Shiney won two of her 'firsts' with these, in the horticultural show on Tuesday :blue thumb: I've no idea what they are

I've just noticed that there's a couple of cracks in the pot so had better tell her to repot it. :rolleyespink:

@shiney Thinking your first one may be a Crassula ovata and the second perhaps a Kalanchoe.

Perhaps I am fortunate. I have the choice of several GC's and have never experienced any shortage of them.
