          The Tufa, I bought from The Alpine Centre in Derbyshire.
          The Volcanic rock, I got from a garden centre that was closing down.
          The Slate, I got from a slag heap in an old slate quarry.
          The Limestone, I quarried myself in a farmer's field.
          Sandstone, which is not in these pics, I bought from a commercial quarry.
          And I have Liscannor Rock, which I was given from someone.

            It's NOT mild here. It's cold, exposed to prevailing winds and very wet. (Wet is not good for Lewisias.)

            Not in these pics, I've built a new sandstone, raised, north-facing, sloping bed under a Blue Cedar for the purpose of keeping Lewisias dry and hopefully the cedar needles that'll fall will help acidify that soil. I'll post pics of this when some of the Lewisias decide to flower.

            Ooops! I seem to have posted a few of the same type of pics above. I duz gets confused sometimes. Sorry.
