Alpines. Piccies of

My first foray into the alpine forum suspect it won't be my last...

 

I love looking all the way through this thread every once in a while, just drives me on further to try and create something similar. Your alpines and the arrangements are amazing, @kindredspirit .

 

I have only just noticed this thread (funny how so many just pass you by somehow ...) and have to say what a marvellous collection and presentation of alpines @kindredspirit . Thanks for posting.
I have just made my first very amateurish alpine sink and enjoyed the process and have always loved alpines. Now I am looking for a large wide shallow pot for a second one.

My school French is very rusty now and my Español isn't too good now either, so someone can correct me if I have these wrong. I just did this as a bit of whimsy.

 

Made up four more round Alpine troughs and converted two old troughs to fern troughs.

 

Not planted up properly yet. Just used remnants and cuttings of plants from other places to give them a bit of a start.

 

Mini Rhododendrons planted today in a trough. (Trough is 42" wide).
Rock is Red Sandstone Conglomerate.

 

Stunners KS: I love the Alpines most of all in the flower garden.
I have really enjoyed the red that Sheal has, I had it in a hanging basket but transferred it to a pot and its flowered all summer.
I will be sure to look after it this winter and take cuttings.
