From time to time something comes along that makes you sit up and take notice, :ideaIPB: that's happened to me this evening and I'm now shaking with excited anticipation.

My dad used to build and race model yachts and for the last couple of years I've followed any leads for any that may still be in existence. This evening I've popped into a website that I check out every six months or so. There I found a 'for sale' advert for a yacht that rang loud bells for me, I've sent an email to the owner and I'm just hoping that I've struck lucky. :)

From time to time over many years I've had a recurring dream that features one of these yachts sitting in a bay window of a house and the house sits on a sea front, I recognise that sea front but can't for the life of me think where it is, so frustrating! I also tend to have a certain amount of esp, proven in the past, so here's hoping.

Has anyone else had an experience like this?

Ok. Here's a couple of examples.

I once was allowed a go of my mate's motorbike. I really opened it up on a deserted country lane that I knew really well. As I flew round one blind bend after the next, I suddenly had a very detailed vision of a car round the next bend. I knew I had no reason to take it seriously, but I eased off the throttle ready. As I rounded the bend, there was the car, exactly as I'd foreseen, in exactly the position in the road I'd foreseen, on the same course and everything. I hit the brakes and swerved exactly as I already had planned based on what I'd foreseen, which was not the logical response, as the logical way move would, in this instance, have resulted in a crash because the car drive took evasive action and swerved to where the logical reaction would have put me. I knew that was going to happen too, which is why I directed the bike elsewhere and just managed to squeeze down the side. It wasn't reaction, because there was no time to react. It was a move I'd already seen in my head just a moment before it became necessary.

Another one. One night I couldn't get to sleep because every time I shut my eyes and started to drift off, I had a vision of being at a 3 lane junction stuck in a jam. The lane to my left, which is going a different way, is clear, so I decide to switch lanes to the left and just go the long way round. As I pull out, a white Transit Pickup appears from nowhere, at speed, and I wake up suddenly just as the the pickup broadsides the car. I was trying to think where on my journey I do a junction like that but couldn't think. By morning I'd forgotten about it. I set off to work as normal and autopiloted the the route I'd done every day for years. Only on this day I found myself in a traffic jam where usually there isn't one. Frustrated, I checked my mirrors and over my left shoulder, the lane to the left is clear. clutch down, first gear, pick the revs up a bit, check again, still clear. About to let the clutch up and suddenly I remembered this vision. I pushed the clutch back down again just a white transit pickup came belting down the left hand lane far too fast. Had I not hesitated due to remembering the freaky vision from the night before, there is no doubt at all that my car would have been T boned.

A slightly more comical one. Just after I'd passed my driving test, when I was still very inexperienced, I had a dream one night where I was driving along, all normal. The car about 50 yards in front starts braking, and I can't see why, so I decide to not brake yet and just see how it unfolds. Then I realise he's braking harder than I thought, and the gap is closing faster than I thought, so I slam on but its too late. The car skids, slides side ways, and then having come almost to a stop but not quite, I just needed a few more yards, I knock someone's garden wall down. The next day almost exactly that happens, except I'd remembered how in my dream I waited to see what was going to happen before braking. This time as soon as I saw his brake lights, I was straight on my brakes. With some pretty brutal braking and a slight skid (pre-ABS car), I stopped with about a foot to spare.

It doesn't matter how many times it happens Clueless, it's still scary when it does and the reality of what's happened hits home!

prof Bri should know its all about quantum entanglement. The science of quantum mechanics has recently proven what I've known all along, that everything is connected, to the point that everything is one thing.
