Aubergines(eggplants)

    i have some eggplant seedlings, but 1 thing i need to know is, do they need pruning like tomatoes and cucumbers. plus would end of this month be suitable to plant them out

    Just let them grow, they should bush out by themselves (but you shouldn't remove the side shoots).

    30th May should be after last frost, so a good time to plant them out - but you are likely to get a better crop if you have a greenhouse you can keep them in.

      thanks bab. i aint too bothered about how much crop i have off them. .im going to plant about 5 of them. just enough for what we eat. as we dont eat them that regular.

      I lost mine to whitefly last year, trying again this year in our Polytunnel instead of the greenhouse.
