Well I needed some shopping therapy today
(SWMBO baby sitting two year old grandson, chucks him out in the garden with me, Who has taken a weeks leave, to prepare the garden for planting out soon)

It ended up two steps forward two steps back, so I cracked, went shopping, and told work to cancel leave and I would go back tomorrow, and take leave later

I can handle a LIGHT two year old running all over the ground I have prepared and forked over, but not pulling out all my onion sets, and pouring gallons of water on it, then chasing the three large tortoise shell butterflys for the first time in my Garden (never had them before)

So I bailed out, showerd changed and went shopping, initially for sharp sand and whatever cropped up
I bought an Auriol weather station from Lidl
Initially impressed though I now have my doubts

It was what I thought working fine, remote outside feeding back info
Then the signal was lost this evening, so I brought the remote inside

It is now inside and the remote (outside temp in the same room) is reading 23C
The main unit is reading 20C,
    Therefore no confidence,
Next the barrometer I aint got a dicky do
Yes I can see it is 1021 it tells me that, but alongside are five barcode like thingys, that say -12 hr -8 -4 -0 that pulse along a chart -18 to +18 no idea what that is about
It is now almost midnight and the daily weather display has changed from a pic of clouds with the sun above them, to just a full sun ?

Still I know that the Sun may rise in the morning at 06:13 and set at 18:29 and the moon will rise at 05:23 andset at 17:32 and flip flops from waning half moon to a new moon
I live apparently 25 miles away from where I am, and it will be very dry tomorrow

Question does anyone know what the barrometer pulsing bars are about ?

Perhaps it’s confused because its realised it's in Scotland and yet it’s going it be dry, surely that does not compute :)

Snow Jack! It's a week too early, surely it should be at easter to mess up everyone's holiday. :heehee:

You are right of course perhaps they have the forecast wrong again

We have in Kirkcaldy the LINKS FAIR, each year, matching easter holidays and every year at that fair it has snowed on at least two of the days
I blame them fairground folk, seeding the clouds so they can sell more HOT COFFEE/TEA
      BURGERS AND HOT DOGS

You see the problem with bailing on the Grandson Jack. It's the terrible 2's
Wait while he gets to 3. The weather will still confuse, but the vandal will be more persistant.
