We have this lovely little Azalea at work, currently flowering quite beautifully.
It seems to defy the odds and thrive, despite being in the shade of a huge Sycamore, in a very dry bed and in soil which is slightly alkaline too!
Would love to know the variety, can anyone tell me?

    Hello......anybody out there?
I take it the answer is no.
Two weeks on and it's still going strong, if anything it has even more flowers now.
Just wish I knew what variety it is. :dunno:

Thanks for that Silver Surfer, Rhododendron cilpinense looks to be a definite possibility.
I found a some more useful links from the one you posted too, it looks like it belongs to either the 'small leaved' rhododendron group or the 'dwarf' ones.
(Also, as a professional gardener, quite embarrassed that I didn't know the difference between azaleas and rhododendrons.)
