    Hi all

I just thought I'd share the cheer, of how one stranger restored my faith in humanity.

I had a bad day today. I went to work, with no motivation (the company is having a few difficulties at the moment). Sat there til about 2PM, struggling to motivate myself to do any work. Then I decided enough was enough, so I told my colleagues I'd had enough for the day and came home.

Not wanting to waste the day I got my wife and son and we went out for a drive. Some sill bint did some road rage at me just because I misinterpreted her misleading signal and then had to take evasive action when she did the exact opposite of what she'd indicated she'd do. This put me in an even worse mood. By the time we got to where we were going, my mood had turned into a migraine and I really needed to park up while I still had some ability to drive safely. We arrived at a local nice spot and went for a walk about. That was good.

We then decided to try out the new fish and chip shop on the seafront. After waiting ten minutes for our food to cook, the nice lady handed us our dinner. My delicious looking fish fell onto the floor before I'd even taken a bite:(

The chippy lady came to see what I was clearly so disappointed about, and I pointed at the smashed up fish on the floor. I really didn't expect anything from the chip shop lady, none of it was her fault. My good wife broke her fish in half and was just passing me half when the chip shop lady came back to the counter, with another lovely battered cod. With a motherly smile on her face, she placed it on my tray of chips and told me to share it with my wife (seeing as my wife had already bust hers in half for me). I was stunned by her kindness. She didn't want me to pay for it. That came out of her profit. She didn't need to do that and I didn't expect her too.

So, you see, there are still plenty of nice people about:)

Doesn't really matter if I get sacked. They still owe us all wages anyway, that's why morale is so low there at present.

I genuinely believe that there are more good people than bad people. Its just that sometimes its easy to forget that and then totally randomly someone comes along and reminds us:)

Glad it turned out nice in the end :dbgrtmb:

I hope this isn't the company you were thinking about buying shares in.

I'm glad that worked out for you Clueless. Hope things get better for you on the job front soon.
I find most people are kind and helpful and honest and caring.
It's the ones who are not who surprize me.

If you fancy a run out, you will find it right on Saltburn sea front (that's Saltburn by sea, not the Saltburn that's somewhere near York). It is called 'Sea View'. Right next to the bottom of the old victorian cliff lift.

Sorry to hear about the, no wages situation, clueless.

Hope things sort themselves out, but once an employer stops paying it usually means the banks have given up on them, as a bad risk.
