          Glossy Ibis, single bird at Wareham Common today. Very wary so a distant shot.

              I think this is a Grebe. It's nest is not far from the lake shore and didn't seem too bothered by me taking photos. It's on a remote lake in the Lake District so there are very few people.

                Apparently it nests there each year - one of the locals told me. I don't know how long they live but I guess he meant that each generation continues to nest there.
