Bokashi Food Waste Containers

Does anyone have any experience of the Bokashi Food Waste composter bins? I like the sound of them and wonder if they are worth the money.

I seem to remember, from discussions last year, that some people found them smelly and gave up, and other people had no trouble with them and thought they were very useful.

I have one from last year, and yes they are smelly. The best description of the smell is of brewing hops. Also i have a small kitchen and take up unnecessary space. I may actually get rid of it tbh because of the combo of space and smell.
