    So I've pondered this a while - why the heck do chefs use brioche buns for burgers?! It everywhere now and the buns just flatten and disintegrate. Just use a simple toasted sesame bun ffs.

    WHY??

    </end rant>

                  Diversifying ;)
                  Reminds me of the news article yesterday re: Jamie Oliver and his "version" of paella where he states: "My version combines chicken and chorizo". Caused a bit of an uproar :heehee:
                  I just loved one of the comments posted on twitter: "My version of fish and chips combines aubergines with duck"! :roflol:

                        So they can charge more - sounds more exotic than a plain old bap :)

                          In some areas you need to keep the word in the singular as you have to be careful about mentioning some people's baps. :rolleyespink:

                          No - we have our burgers on a Barm cake , no substitutes allowed ! :blue thumb:
                          In fact we had a drive over to the Devils Bridge at Kirby Lonsdale last Monday. Not been there for about 30 years . Its a Mecca for the motorcyclists who head there for the burger van . Lovely burger and potato cake + mug of coffee while looking up the Lune Valley .
