Brother

Having grown up thinking it was just my Older Brother & I, it came as a mild suprise a few years back to discover that we had 2 older Brothers & a Sister.

Got in touch with one older, older Brother last year & we met up a few months back.

Anyway, he grew up in a different time & place to me and he made drawings of the things that made up his childhood. I suggested he get them published, which he is in the process of, and he just sent me a link to a video he's put on you tube.

He said excuse the voice but he had a cold when he recorded it.

Yeah, great. Simple but good, and really well-observed. A bit like Lowry but more cheerful. Wish I could draw like that.

 

Very enjoyable Zig, he is obviously a very talented man. As Madahlia says, his drawings are very much in the style of L.S.Lowry. If he were to do a water colour version of the images I reckon he would be on a winner. Did he write and sing the vocals also?

He wrote the vocals, sent them to a local folk group who messed them around and stuck a bad vid on u tube, so he decided to sing his own version.

 

Really kewl Zigs!! He's very talented!

About the video...Very original production, I enjoyed it greatly, especially considering that he has made everything himself. He has a bob dylan kind of style in the singing.

He's sent me all the ones in the video, i'm hoping he's got some in reserve if he's put that lot out on you tube already.

 

Truthfully, I think he needs to take it off Youtube and get an agent, He has talent in great depth.
He is showing a social history which is long gone, just like Lowry.

but often artists lack the pr skills to make themselves known or they are not interested in making as much money as possible. Fair enough what's the point of making money if you don't enjoy life?
