BT Bananaman

Hello, I am rewiring my BT lines today and changing boxes etc, so just in case I have wasted the day and messed up all the connections I say 'see you in a few days when an engineer has put it all right again'.

Hopefully not and will be on later, fingers crossed! :eek:

Initial signs are good. Testing all good, ready for next weekend taking out the existing wires. :D

good luck bm , the computer guy is coming this morning to sort my pc out so hopefully he will just be here 1 hour yes ask him to go to shineys then he can log on here more often :D

 

LOL, I know it would be easier to get a BT man to do it, but after the amount they fleece me each month for line rental I couldn't bear to pay them anymore. So I did it myself and as long as you work methodically and write down which wires need to be friendly with which, its just drilling holes and laying/pinning wires. :D The box that I replaced was so old, black 41 year old GPO one. :eek:

 

bm. to get a secondery bt box and second line it cost me �£140 last year.

BM, YOU ARE A VERY CLEVER MAN.ALL THAT WIRING. we got fed up with bt.we switched on to broad band.

thinking serously next feb, when my year with tiscali is up, going with sky package. phone, broadband & digital tv, will see what deals they have nearer the time.
