A moth, not a butterfly, plus it's their (Mullein Moth) caterpillars, on a Mullein that's growing through some Mypex membrane at my plot that I want to pull out and rotorvate through underneath tomorrow
                    mullein moth1 2015.jpg

But I have some more Mullein plants to re-home them to that only have a couple of caterpillars on them, otherwise I would've had to work around them as I've looking after them at my plot for some 25 years or so.

                    mullein moth2 2015.jpg

Then I need to remember where the plants were as they pupate in the soil and I don't want to disturb them.

Master of disguise, Grayling, it closes it's wings immediately on landing and almost becomes invisible.
