Cannas wanted please.

I bought rhizomes from Harts last year, and they were fine

 

I certainly would be very wary about buying Canna by mail order full stop. Grow from seed, buy from Hart Canna (judging by the reports on this forum anyway) or don't bother. Certainly never buy from a run of the mill GC, B&Q or their ilk, supermarkets or any other source that does not offer an unconditional virus free guarantee.

 

I had a beautiful red striped leaf Durban for four years until last year when it became infected so as Pete points out just because it starts clean it may not always be.

 

luckily, for now, the ones i have (3rd year) dont have the virus, but as mentioned they can be affected anytime.
