Carols on Sunday.

Went to a lovely Christmas Carol service at our local church on Sunday......It really kickstarted my Christmas......I couldn't resist taking a few pics.

I'm not religious but those places are kind of special.

We will never build anything like them again.

 

I'm not either pete, I just work on them, but I know what you mean. And where else in the country can you just walk into an ancient building ?

Hiya roders .. it's me again.

We went to do our weekly shop today at Aldi and ran into the owner of our 'local' .. if you can have such a thing here 5kms from you in the country (O Foral where Rolph the Turtle used to live).

Anyway, he told us to come for Carol Singing and an English Roast Beef Dinner. At arrival you have hot Spiced Wine and Cookies free of charge. We did .. there were about 100 people, a pianist and a Portuguese choir ... it was awful and was about 1,5 hours. We got our dinner about 10pm ... way too late for me so I brought it home with me.

It has put me off going to Chrstmas Carols ... but ours was on a Wednesday and not a Sunday ... :dh:

The reason you didn't enjoy the experience is that you are a non believer and you didn't feel the joy ,you proberbly didn't sing loud enough either......:luv:

 

:cnfs: Who says I'm a non-believer roders? I thought it was all a bit too 'commercial' actually with people wearing Santa hats, deely boppers with reindeers on them and flashing lights ... and perhaps I didn't sing loud enough ... :hehe:
