    Ah, I see.

I think you have misunderstood about VW, when you said

"VW am Verry Strict as to wot you are Allowd to do EVEN IF IT IS YOUR OWN VAN"

VW really don't care what you do to one of their vans. What they care about is their logo which as you quite rightly said is

Vernon walker (The person you mentioned) got in trouble because he altered it, nothing to do with what he did or didn't do the vans / cars.
Like wise you can't use it unless you get written permission from VW themselves.

    Business link

I would strongly suggest you seek help / opinions elsewhere, they seem to be giving information which is not correct.

"if i create a TM They told me its official merchendice and I Own the rights to it

so its fraud and copy rights"

You can't use the VW logo on any thing you sell along with your ™ on it, since the VW logo is not yours.

Fraud and copyright, its true you can sue people for fraud and or copyright breach, however, you have to find them first, which costs money, then you have to hire a solicitor which costs even more money, and to sue someone for lets say a mug, is just not worth it.

Business link also told you to get a .com and a .co.uk domain name, you can thank them for wasting more of your money. There is a law called "passing off" in short it means no one can legally make a website like yours / similar name. It also works the other way, you can't make a website like some one elses'. As you are UK based, it will be better to have just the .co.uk.

Or put it like this, you buy the .com .co.uk why not get the .net .info .biz as well? The reason is they do not "reflect your (potential) business" like wise the .com is of no use to you.

    and one more thing,

As an aside, have you thought how much even a polo shirt for you to sell will cost you?, its not that bad for one for yourself and one for a work college, but to sell them, it soon adds up, allow me.

Yellow polo shirt with logo, lets say £12 for you and one for.....

You then have sizes, even if we said S, M, L, XL that's four, then if you have 2 of each size, in a choice of two colours, that's 16.
16 polo shirts x £12 = £ 192 and that is even before you start.

But you could have baseball caps, but as I said before, sorry, but why would people want to buy a picture of your van when they can take their own picture?

    Good luck.

No, don't take my word for it, perhaps others will give their opinions?

Oh go on then... Nick, decide exactly on what you want this website to do and sketch out how you would like it to look on paper, page by page. Have you drafted a logo yet? Don't buy anything else until you run it past your new business helpers on GC first! If you're going to sell branded goods (mugs etc) then it might be an idea to have a characturised (like a cartoon version) of your van on it rather than a photo
