Hi, I have a dwarf cherry tree growing in my garden and I just had a question about some tiny red dots that are on the stems of leaves just at the very bottom of the leaves. Is this is a disease or something I should be worried about? I have never grown cherries before so I don't know what to expect. I have run my fingernail over them and they're not insects as they didn't wiggle or squish or was anything that I could scrape away.

hmmm from your description it sounds like some type of gall:scratch: are they flat against the leaf stalks? or raised bumps?

also a photo would be fantastic:WINK1:

They are raised bumps. I read on another site that they could be nectar glands because somebody said they had ants crawling on their cherry tree and they would get excited when they got near them.
