    Following on from part 2, here is the other plant.

    This also flowered last year and was beautiful. Nothing was done to it in autumn and beyond... So no pruning or anything.

    As per other thread, what is it and what do I have to do to it to rescue it for the summer? IMG_20190430_201504.jpg

    Presume picture is from last year.
    Looks like paeony, doesn't need anything doing to it really. Dead head after flowering and that's about it; mulch around it, but don't cover it with mulch.

      Nope, picture is as of ten minutes before that post.

      I guess that is my question - having not done anything last year like deadheading, have I sacrificed some blooming this year?

      Well, if that photo is from this year, I think it is safe to say that your peony has forgiven you, and is about to flower again! A little mulch around it after flowering, and I think it will love you!
