Some close ups of flowers on a coastal walk today.

My bank account includes a "lifestyle benefit" you can choose from a number of options. For several years now I have chosen a subscription to "Garden Answers" magazine. It always comes with one packet of free seeds and I love receiving it and finding what they are.

This is the first of the year's flowers from those seeds, Marigold "Scarlet Sophie". Something I wouldn't have gone out and bought, but they've been easy and interesting to grow.

The astrantia is looking great right now...were bought as bare root Roma three years ago but they're much paler in colour still pretty

 

Man Orchid still going strong and it's been joined by the first Bee Orchid of the year, all the result of no mow summers, the rest of our very modest front lawn is full of ox eye daisies.

 

A couple of Fuchsias, but the photos did not fully capture their full vibrancy.
