It looks like some sort of delospermum. Do you have any pictures of the flower?

No it has not flowered yet Tropical Gaz, It came from Corfu last May as a cutting and has survived the winter in my Conservatory. It grew well last summer but did not flower. They are daisy like and they have a few colours ranging from purple, blueish to red, also yellow ( I think) I have a round 'leaf' smaller version from the Canaries which was identified here a few years ago by Pete and it is still flowering well with offsprings.

    hans welcome back,
It looks like carpobrotus edulis, (hottentot fig), it grows aound the UK in coastal areas but flowers dont seem to be that numerous until the plant is well established, and even then not as abundant as others of the same family.
Its not very hardy, I find, and is S. African.

Thank you pete, nice to pop in and see the Corner is as active and well supported as ever, you have it spot on as usual. My plant is non hardy as I had a good specimen outside in a barrel planter which has not survived our Winter. I never knew it grew in our country as I always admire it in the Med seems to grow everywhere there. It is nice to have soft Med type plants to admire but they are taking up more and more Winter room Conservatory almost full, final warning. ho ho.
