I bought this almost a year ago because of its orangey colour and the fact it was strongly scented. With the warm winter it flowered sporadically up to Xmas, and now after a gap it's flowering again. But the flowers are now pinkish, rather than orange. It's quite noticeable as I have it planted next to various purple flowering plants (at this time of year they're irises)

Has anyone else had this happen? Can I do anything about it?

Well, the David Austin description of the Roses flower colour is "Burnt Orange" which is a far cry from your roses "pinkish". When it initially flowered were the flowers the colour they should have been? Also, have you been kind to the rose and fed it regularly or have you not bothered ?
And Yes, you can do something about it!!! . Contact David Austin and explain the problem. I think you'll find they will offer to replace it if you can provide proof of purchase.:snork:

I have heard of people complaining that 'Summer Song' can look a bit brown and dull, rather than an fiery ochre, when grown in a place where it doesn't get quite enough sun. Never heard of it being pinkish, however.

Thanks. It was definitely the "right" colour last year, which was why I bought it and it's been properly looked after. It gets plenty of sun as the back garden is SW facing, but I'd have thought if it was fading caused by too much sun it would have happened on last year's flowers too.

Unfortunately I have no proof of purchase as I bought it from a local garden centre and it's so long ago now anyway, during which time I've been pleased with it until it flowered this year. It still has the original tag on it that says what it is though. I'll try contacting David Austin and asking them what they can suggest.
