I have just moved into a new house three weeks ago and the garden was left lovely so I want to keep it that way. Being a very basic and beginner gardener I haven't a clue. Please can you tell me what these are? How I maintain them? Pruning etc? Upkeep? Thanks http://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h3/julieanderson40/DSCN0684.jpg http://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h3/julieanderson40/DSCN0683.jpg http://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h3/julieanderson40/DSCN0682.jpg http://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h3/julieanderson40/DSCN0681.jpg http://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h3/julieanderson40/DSCN0685.jpg

I will leave giving you advice to other members!
How lucky you are to have a lovely garden to adapt and make your own! I agree with Silver Surfer as to the identifications. I don't know anything about yuccas but the good news about the others is that you don't have to do much with them at all. Hoe round them to remove weeds, deadhead them if you like, remove the dead foliage in winter (I leave it till late winter to provide shelter for the 'crowns' as we are in north Cumbria and very exposed) and just keep them in check if they spread too far or get too big, though most of these are well behaved plants. And most of all, enjoy them!
The only comment I would make is that the Yucca looks like Golden Sword or similar which is one of the stiff leaved Yuccas and therefore the leaves will have a very very sharp point and sides like razors, just beware when working around it, I speak from painful experience of working with them.:(:D
