I'm looking for somewhere that I can download books from. When I had a kindle I used Amazon
Now I have changed to another tablet and dont want to use Amazon . I have found so many which sound ok but I ask myself ...are these safe.?.
Thought I'd ask advice here of any members who can advise me please.

Try your local Library, ours does e-books and I'm sure all others do too for free.

I've used Project Gutenberg and can recommend that, mostly older books like the classics but also non-fiction too:

Hi there @Purple Streaks , how are you doing!

Yes definitely try your library....go onto your County library's website.

Mine here in Hampshire uses OverDrive for borrowing ( downloading) e- books and audio books and Borrow Box for magazines.

Love it ,I always have several books on the go and love their huge and varied range magazines.:dbgrtmb:
