Where i have been temping is a brilliant place that does amazing work with folks who are in critcal condition. The most part of the company itself is run on funds raised by ourselves as an independant charity, the place is called Hospiscare, you can read up about it on the website http://www.hospiscare.co.uk/

They strive to make their last days as enjoyable and confortable as possible, we run a Day Care Unit also, where they can do crafts, spend time in a beautiful garden, bake, recieve various therapies like aromatherapy, massage and hand treatments with manicures.

In the evening the inpatients do have their own televisions, but the ward is hoping to run movie nights, and designate the dvd player to those who fancy a movie in the evening!
How ever they have no dvds, and i've taken it upon myself to try and develop a library for these lovely folks, a bit of a project on hehalf of the hard working nurses!

Would anyone consider having a looky through their dvd collections and seeing if there are any they could spare?

We are looking for all sorts from family movies to westerns, to romance to thrillers!

I will happily send you stamps to the value of the postage in advance also!

Those can help please contact me! Many thanks my loverlies!

[IMG] I will have a look Whiley although we did have a clear out before Xmas... I think that is a smashing thing to do as well. I know how wonderful these hospice care places are & yours looks a good one too. [IMG] People are given so much care & affection in them that it makes the last days of their lives bearable. Also helps the families too as it is such a difficult time for them as well. I sometimes think it is harder for them being left here to cope with everything!! :( Will have a look & will ask my family too.. [IMG]
