yep that was bad .. me and lady imp woke at the same time looked like she had seen a ghost and asked me to stop shakin the bed. it was only when we both looked down and saw the bed shakin we realised something strange was happening..put my digital radio on asap and the host on lbc just paused on the 1am news and said something strange was happening and that every phone line flashed the swithboard was jammed and it was as if the whole of the uk had woken up it was only when he took the first few calls he realised what had happened. it was ten minutes later before sky broke the news...very scarey

It woke me, my husband slept through it the same as the last one.

Sounded like an empty wheelie bin being dragged over the roof. :D

I posted this on another thread as well.

I was sitting in the lounge having a cuppa and reading when I felt the tremor. I told Mrs shiney about it early this morning (she was asleep in bed at 1 a.m. last night) and she said 'not another one!' We were in New Zealand a couple of months ago when there was a 7.8 earthquake that had the table and chairs moving whilst we had our dinner   :D :D

It woke us up and felt as though the bed was moving across the room and the whole house
was shaking for about 20 seconds. Was pretty scary.

The last one I can remember was late 1950s when I was in the kitchen and a saucepan lid
fell off the shelf but that one was nothing near as strong as last night.

we felt it here, was enough to wake us up for a few minutes but considering it was the first time either of us had experienced anything like that, we just rolled over and went back to sleep! [IMG] Our sleep is important to us obviously! [IMG] Mollie the dog slept right through it!!!! she barks at the slightest noise most nights but not a peep from her [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]
