A polite young lad of about ten years has knocked at my door this morning with bucket in hand. He asked me if he could wash my car for £1.50. I said no, but gave him a pound for his enterprise and boldness. Ahhhhh...... A family friend started off this way at the age of thirteen, now in his early thirties he has his own car sales business, owns two houses and is probably on his way to his first million.
This lad was back on my doorstep this morning just four days after the last call with the same question. I'm now beginning to wonder if he is on some sought of scam after I gave him the pound coin last time. Perhaps he's hoping to make money the easy way. Not from me now though!
