First early sowing in flower

    Here is the first flower from this year's sowings.

    And the winner is Datura Fleur de Lilac.

    Its lovely i like the colour...it feels like an extended winter here so everything is just limping along...and i dont have a greenhouse heater so the plants i do have are sat looking out at the rain..hail and whatever comes down..

    DAG, that pics cheared me up.i hope mine are as sweet.there in the greenhouse also but not flowered yet.do you think its best to wait until they do flower and then plant them out?theyre dwarf bedding(freebies from GN). [​IMG]

    elainfiz: I was hoping to plant them all out before they flowered, but this one beat me to it! Been reluctant to plant out with all this rain, nice day today, and guess what? Aphids are out already, targetting my morning glory and aubrieta, the b******s!!! :D

    thanks DAG,weve had the rain aswell.as for the aphids! theyve already been on a bush rose in the front garden and ive had to cut one of the honeysuckle down altogether at the back.last year my son was swearing blacks white."no mam,i have not been spitting on the lavender!"i just didnt know. [​IMG]

    Just checked my roses and among the hundreds of buds, very few have aphids or cuckoo spit. Yes the aphids are there but so are the ladybirds munching away. I'll not interfere.

    Nice dahlia. mine are a long way behind, but they are all outside now.

    Found some blackfly on the phylodelphus, but that's all so far, outdoors.
