Floods Going Down Now

    They've finally opened the road across the moor again.

    Because the water stayed for so long this time, most of the vegetation has rotted & it really really stinks.:thud:

      It will soon dry out again in this weather Ziggy, then flood again in a storm next week then freeze over the week after...

        Farmers won't be very happy, thats a lot of grazing gone. They are normally cutting haylage from it about now, then they put the Moo Moos on it when its dry enough.

        i bet they are not, cant imagine what it must feel like to get up in the morning and see your entire crop submerged :gaah:kinda puts that little slug that keeps nibbling my lettice into perspective :snork:

        If it's grass Ziggy then it won't take long to recover, but not for haymaking though.

        Not just the grazing thats gone, on the other side of the moor half a field of Wheat is rotten.
