    Hello there,

I'm new to gardening. I bought a Flycatcher today and then quickly discovered that wasnt an actual name. I think my plant is a kind of carnivorous trumpet plant but cant be sure. Could you guys take a look and let me know how to care for it please?

    Thank you in advance.

It could be darlingtonia, which is a type of cobra lily. I'm not fully up on insectivorous plants but I'm sure it will be fun....and disturbing to trap some flies!
    Oh and welcome

There are a fair few Sarracenia varieties out there, flounder, so it's almost impossible to identify which one you have got.:doh: The things to remember is that that Sarracenia like bright light and warmth and you must only water them with rain water.
I have 28 Sarracenia, 10 Venus Fly Traps, and some Sun Dews in the Green House....

It's hard to tell how many flies a Sarracenia has caught in it's Pitchers unless you can see down into the Pitcher but I find that the Venus Fly Traps seem to do great business and are very efficient in catching flies.
