Cor thanks Ziggy. Very interesting, I hadn’t realised that the little aerial on the opposite hillside from us is the Bagshot heath transmitter.

This photo I took a couple of years ago from our front door, showing Wembley arch at night, they switch the lights on when England are playing there.

Heathrow is the glow on the horizon straight ahead. We watched Concorde on it’s last ever commercial flight fly right over us then tracked it down as it circled and landed at Heathrow.

Guildford cathedral is a bit brutal, it looks nicer at night all lit up:

Blimey, no more sneaking into the NAAFI for cheap beer then.

Dad met Mum while she was posted there. He used to walk her back to the camp after dates, straight past his house & never told her he lived there.

She must have followed him back one night

The landscape looks so flat to me now. :) The lower buildings in the last picture look familiar to me, do you know which one's they are please?

Sorry John, I meant the last picture taken in the 'square mile' where the 'Gherkin' is. :)

Sorry, I think you're both missing my point. Do you know any of the names of the lower buildings in front of the 'Gherkin' and is the other tall one the LLoyds building please? :)
