Hi Charly.. Looks like it could be either Patricia or Buxton's Blue or just maybe Blue Blood to me..

    Hi Charly96

With a few exceptions, cranesbills (hardy geraniums) generally set a lot of seed, so you may find you have lots of free plants next year anyway. Or you could try dividing your clump to increase your stock - that way you would be sure of getting identical plants.

Well done, Woo, I think you are dead right. I was trying to remember but could only get as far as 'geranium something unpronounceable with a 'w''.

Thanks Woo, i've just googled some pics of Wlassovianum, definitely looks like the one.
Cranesbills are one of my favourite plants, i have about 8 different varieties in my garden, mainly pink flowered, a couple of blue, no white ones yet, all from dividing clumps in other people's gardens so not sure of the names of any of them.
This one is growing in a client's garden, not big enough to divide yet, but i'll definitely be collecting as much seed as i can.

Charly - this is a species plant and will produce seed. But remember that most of the best Geraniums, ie those that flower for a very long period, are sterile hybrids and never produce seed. - but they do divide. :D
