    Anyone use these guys? It's a builders merchants but I can't find a price list anywhere and I'm wondering how they stack up against others.

        Never heard of them Loofah. I'm none too keen on any builders merchants, it's a bit like entering a souk, you've no idea where anything is and the price varies on whether they like your face or not, then you have to haggle. I check how much stuff is in Wickes first then ring the BMs and ask for their best price, usually they are a lot dearer but they do include delivery which is better for heavy materials.

            I love a good builders merchants! Probably coz my dad was a builder so I went to them a lot. Always something cool to look at :)

            Just waiting on a quote from them...

              Gibbs & Dandy used to produce really good (priced [1]) ironmongery catalogues that were invaluable when specifying such items in tender documents in the absence of an ironmongery schedule from the Architects.

              [1] Simplifying the costing of variations after the Architect finally decided which door furniture they wanted.
