    Hi Joolz,

We have seen them over on the Isle of Wight in the summer months {July} when we went to Parkhurst Forest to see the Nightjars one evening. It was well after nine when they put in an appearance and was lovley to see as we had never seen them before. This was in the days before Digi cameras so couldn't even get photos of them:D

I am not sure what the life cycle is of the species and on Googling could only find references to ones seen abroad in New Zealand and America etc which is of no use to you where you live:)

Someone who is bound to know will come along to help you in your quest as they are a nice sight to see:)

Fortunatly the 2.5m snake that I disturbed went in the other direction, which was good as it was going faster than I could run.:runhills:

Even after getting back here, it was months before we got out of the habit of picking up stones from above, rather than putting your hand under them in case of scorpions.
