I bought some stuff from Green Gardener about 2 years ago, it was OK and did the job I wanted. However since then I keep getting emails advertising new products etc.
I've now attempted to stop these unwanted mails on at least half a dozen occasions with no success at all. I've tried the "unsubscribe" link on their site (hasn't worked), written direct replies to mail (they bounce). I've tagged Green Gardener email as Spam but it's still a pain having to delete them from my junk mail box.

My message therefore is that if you don't want to deal with a company that wont remove you from their mailing list when requested then don't order goods via the internet from this one.

    No excessive violence please.
Just take them gently by the hand or throat and offer "words of advice" :heehee:

mark them in your email as junk .... then their mails get sent to your junk mail folder (thats how it works on hotmail)

Any email address on their website? If so forward each email to them, with a note explaining you have tried to use the automated removal from their mailing list and have asked direct, please could they do something about it.

Maybe send it a second time ... maybe a third ... maybe more ... maybe a lot more ... you get the idea :thumb:

Ask them to confirm receipt of your instructions. On the second and later copies put "Just to let you know I haven't heard back yet, so I'm sending my request again"

Yeah, agree life's-too-short on that one. Either they know that too, or are incompetent.

They are obliged, if they are in the UK, to not spam you if you've asked to be removed from their list. I dunno if any "ombudsman" has teeth to do anything about it. I would think it is what used to be called the Data Protection Registrar - but I expect the whole thing has been rejigged over the years.

Does Google have anything on how to make a nuisance of yourself in order to get removed from Emailing lists?

Is this not a simple case of using your email filters? Just block the address?

Indeed, but I think it shouldn't be necessary, and they will most probably be doing it to other "customers" - so prospective customers might like to take note.

I have the same problem with a person that I bought some Aquilegia seeds off on eBay. Clearly a specialist in Aquilegias, but keeps on mailing me even though I have repeated asked them not to.
