Hi Lynda........I'm another carer so I know the feeling! Gardening is great for stress. Welcome to GC

 

Ha ha my daughter had a cat called Baldrick when she was a teenager lol!

Meet Parsley. He's a medium poodle (a size not recognised in Uk. Think small end of Standard)
I adopted him when he was 7, but he's always had pills for his heart and is not too well now - but he is 14 :-)
I shall go right over and see Baldrick......

It sounds like you are really enjoying the gardening. I have MS too so I know the difficulties you can face as a carer. I was very ill but I am in a reasonable phase too. I am retired for the second time the first time I could not cope I did not know what day or date it was. I was not nice to live with. The garden does sort of heal the tensions and worries. It is good that you have something of your own to stretch and strengthen you when you see this garden life. It helps you cope and brings a little joy. I hope you enjoy being in the forum and get plenty of tips and make loads of new friends. Life as a carer is very hard but being a gardener lets you be you. Keep smiling and welcome.

Hello Marie and thank you x x it was lovely to read your post - I really love this forum - I can't believe I have found somewhere where I can waffle on about gardening and folks eyes don't glaze over, lol. I am sorry to Hear that you have MS also. It is a vicious, filthy and nasty disease that robs good people of many of their abilities. Frequently, as I carer, even when it's really hard, I offer up a silent prayer that I actually am fit enough to be in a caring role. I look forward very much to chatting with you on here. Sorry to hear you are not as well as you could be but, you are still a very handsome chappie and I hear that playing "virtual chase" is less strain on the limbs than in the real life fields ... so, maybe we can play?
