Hello From Sunny Bridlington

Hi all.
Just a quick hello from sunny Bridlington on the East Yorkshire coast.
Not much of a garden I'm afraid, I have to rely on containers in a small front yard (12ft x 3ft) in front of my bay window.
My back yard is North facing, and is also not a lot of use other than for housing my wheelie bins, it just gets too green mossy as there is little air movement to stop the algae growing. (the pressure washer is my friend).

Hi Steve, welcome to the forum. I will be very interested to follow what you are doing with your little bit of space. It sounds like one of those small yards in front of a Victorian terrace? I often walk through streets of those and it's very interesting to see what people do with them.

As for your back garden, you know there is quite a trend for moss gardening these days ...

 

Ha Haa. You've hit the nail with the Victorian terraced house.
Got a few items in the pots out front but the sun is quite a demon and watering is a priority at the moment

Welcome Steve,there are quite a few plants that enjoy growing in dark, dank corners. I am sure you will find something to grow in your back area.

It's amazing how you can prettify (is that a word) a small area. We have a few members that garden on balconies, perhaps you'll spot their posts as you look around.
