Help Identify Shrub

    Not much to look at but in the evening gives off a magnificent aroma, noticed this shrub in Verona whilst on holiday and would really appreciate help in identifying what it is? thank you for your help.

    Hi Nick and Welcome to GC :)

    I'm no expert on shrubs, but the foliage and flowers look a lot like Privet. I could be wrong though - hopefully someone more knowledgeable will be along to identify this shrub.

    [​IMG] Nick... :scratch: Well it looks like it might be one of the Viburnums, but not too sure.. When was it in flower..?? Did it show signs of any berries forming after the flowers..??:scratch: We have Viburnum Eve Price which smells fantastic, but that is a winter one.. There are lots of different ones..     Hi Nick and welcome to GC.

    I think it is probably the Cestrum Nocturnum (Lady of the Night, Queen of the Night, Night-Scented Jessamine). It is very popular here.

    I would say Star Jasmine, Trachelospermum.:thumb:
