    Hi all,
My knowledge of trees is very sparse I'm afraid. Could someone identify this for me? We have several in woodland just behind our garden wall. Is it a type of oak? It's about 10 metres tall.

Does it go a lovely deep red in Autumn? I reckon it's Northern Red Oak.

Thanks JWK - that's really helpful. Looking at google images for Northern Red Oak, I think you're right! I'm not sure about it's Autumn colours yet.
