I purchased these small trees about a year and half a go, I call them small trees because I don't know the real name of them, I am a total beginner.

First of all what I wanted to know is why they are going brown.

I have been watering them regularly but they don't appear to look any healthier.

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

    Welcome to Gardeners Corner :sign0016:

Have you got a male dog that's big enough to cock his leg against them?

If not then i'd guess it could be salt spray. I'm a mile from the sea but a lot of the conifers here got hit after a winter storm whipped the sea water into the air.

I live about half a mile from the sea, that might explain it then. What is the solution to getting some green back in to things, or are they on the way out.

Could well be. They don't generally grow back once they've gone brown i'm afraid.

You might be better off asking if they've got something more salt tolerant down at the local garden centre, as it'll keep happening.

That's a shame. Would you personally just bin them now?
Thank you very much for your advice on this.

No, i'd probably cut the brown bits off and see what happens, we got a conifer hedge that grew too big and we had to cut it back to the wood, bits of green are poking thru from the other side now.

        No worries :)

How often and how much, are you watering adegard? Also, is the damage all around or just on 1 side?
