How to Clear a River

    Spent the afternoon with the girls down at Lydford.

    Very poplier swimming spot in the hot weather, that's an old picture above, its full of folk swimming, drinking, having bbq's & enjoying the place at the moment.

    Anyway, this afternoon a farmer turns up, looks up and down the river & under the bridge, shakes his head and then gets on his phone, stood in the middle of all the sunbathers.

    Went something like this.

    (Loud voice)

    "Ere George, i'm down at the river, member of the public reported a dead calf floating 50 yards down from the Church. I've been up and down but I can't see it. All calves accounted for so it might have been one of them poppin a twin out afterwards. I expect it'll pop up once it starts to bloat."
