    Think I must be doing something stupid, but I can't see what.

    Trying to do a new signature, using

    <a href="link">name</a>

    But it keeps coming out wrong:what:

    I bet the forum software is 'escaping' your HTML Zig. It's a common and sensible precaution, as it prevents someone doing anything naughty like hijacking the site.

    Without escaping your html (which basically means turning the html markup you write into different html markup representing what you typed literally) it would be possible to do thinks like injecting javascript (a common hack trick).

          but better to use the LINK button in the WYSIWYG toolbar I expect.
