I've just come in from sorting the horses out and was going to have a piece of cake to go with my cuppa. I made these yesterday.

All that is left now is an empty tray and tilly the lurcher is lying in her basket looking very full and very guilty. The blackberry and apple pie donated by our neighbour has also been finished off.
I can only hope that she dragged them off the unit to be shared by all 5 dogs otherwise she is likely to explode.

I know that I should have learnt my lesson after having lurchers for 28 years:mad:

Ha.. That will teach you... Had a simular thing with one of our cats.
He attacked and desimated the middle of our chritsmas cake...
And then we had to suffer the after effects... Yuck.
You may still have that to come.
Oh yes really great looking cakes by the way..

They are called All Bran cakes so I really am expecting there to be dire effects from this episode:eek:

I just hope that all 5 dogs shared them out equally between them:rolleyes:

Come paint the rest of the front of my house (I've done the lower bits up to the top of the windows) and I'll bake a load of cakes, brownies etc (although I don't seem to be able to do a decent sponge cake :( ) :thumb:

    Here's the recipe............really simple

For each cake put one cupful each of:

    All Bran
    Fruit (I use sultanas)
    Sugar
    Milk

in a bowl and leave to soak for a few hours or overnight.

Add a cupful of self-raising flour and a few walnuts and stir thoroughly.

Bake at about 180 degrees C for about one hour.

I always have to make 3 because my family (and dogs:rolleyes:) love them

I've always wondered that and decided not to try because a cup of allbran seems that it would be much denser/heavier than bran flakes:confused:
