I snapped a cucumber plant :-(

Help! I accidentally snapped one of my cucumber plants about two thirds of the way up. There are cucs on the upper half that has snapped. It's not come right off, still half attached and I've tied it back against the cane. Should I just cut it off completely or d'you think it has a chance?! :cnfs:

 

I'd put some tape around it as well.

If the top dies I expect the bottom will throw up a new shoot. They'll be a bit of a delay before it starts cropping though :(
