I think we could all do with a "splash" of colour - typing as the rain lashes down again outside....

Drawing in tribute to the last conversation with my father, before he died. Miss you, Dad!

Been working on a drawing of a tiger, after being inspired by the recent adaptation of The Jungle Book....

It’s a good example of how a drawing develops

Then the inking starts - on this drawing, I was struggling to capture the aloofness of Khan

BUt he’s starting to look a little snooty!

Water droplets are always difficult to draw, as I’m sort of not-drawing what I want, like a negative, drawing the background around the droplets, and leaving the droplet blank.

Quite pleased with how he’s turned out, apart from the slight Elvis snear!

              Practice, practice, practice!

              Or how our skills develop...

Just over a week ago, it was my dog’s 13th birthday.
I revisited a reference photo I first used in 1/10/2016. Why do I remember the date so clearly? Because it was the first time I’d picked up a pen to do an ink drawing in many, many years. I repeated the drawing a month later, in November 2016.
I find it fascinating to see the three drawings together (plus the original photo)!

I lost my mojo for drawing during the initial phase of the pandemic. Or more to the point, I was too agitated to sit calmly and draw.

I have done a little drawing last weekend though, that I’m quite pleased with...

But how on Earth did you get the birds to stand still for long enough to draw them?

What Sian possesses is real talent, you either have it or you don’t. I do though think you could surprise yourself when it comes to playing an instrument. The guitar (for instance) only requires practice and perseverance. There are plenty of tutorials on YouTube. Sure, you’ll never be a Clapton, but it won’t take long to knock out a few tunes
