    Hello all,

Could someone please help me identify this plant? I am assuming some kind of dog leaf but I am unsure. They're not very high but very close to my raspberry and I'd like to know whether I can safely get rid of them without destroying a possibly beautiful flower or else.

    Thank you! :)

Hello Mrs Tea, Don't take this as gospel...I'm losing my touch, but I'd say Digitalis, foxgloves.

      Hello Noisette,

Thanks! :) I had a look on Google Images, and the leaves do indeed look very much alike. It's the first year I have had them in the garden, maybe they came over from my neighbour's allotment?

They turn up all over the place! If you want to transplant them, the roots are quite fibrous and they'll settle in elsewhere after a good soaking. Best to do it before the flower spike gets tall, though:)

Thanks for the advice! :) Do you think they might have an impact on my raspberry at all if I left them where they are? The raspberry is still very young, I don't think it will carry any fruit this year. But I better make sure just in case.. with foxgloves being toxic.

I would move them away from the Raspberry cane, they will certainly take some of the food and water from it. You need the cane roots to grow strongly for fruit production in the future.

Thank you Palustris! I will move them elsewhere then! :)
