    Adopted this from my dad a couple years ago...having a feeling it could be a Bay but not DSCF4159.JPG sure, many thanks

    Yes, it looks like Bay Laurel. The sure way to tell is to rub a leaf between your fingers and sniff! If it's a sweet, spicy smell then it's bay....

      Ah thanks, yes it does have a nice smell to it. Is the type you can cook with?

      Certainly can! And you can dry leaves to store..either whole or ground to a powder.
