Well, they did enter it as a joke as they were so fed up with the way Eurovision had gone....
... and they obviously got their costumes from the sell-off of props from the Lord of the Rings films....

    .... did I ever mention I was a bit of a rock chick??? ;)

Makes a refreshing change from all that bland crap that seems to be in the charts these days, they're a bit over dressed perhaps but thats show biz. :D

Was it? Only feels like yesterday! How did I get that old? Was watching Grumpy Old Women last night and related to every single thing they said!! Inside I'm that defiant, stubborn sulky 15 year old , but when I look in the mirror I'm that 43 year old gardener who plays Abba , and think's it's cool to go to seventies nights!

43! you are just a youngster. I remember the first Eurovision Song contest. Brian Johnston, (brother of Teddy) singing "Looking, High, high, high"

Yeh! Sheppy at 43 is a youngster isn't she Hornbeam.

Do you remember 'Chickory Chick Chala Chala' or
'Mares eat oats and does eat oats and little lambs eat ivy, a kid'll eat ivy too........'
There wasn't a Eurovision song contest then but perhaps either of these songs could have been suitable.

(and they say today's songs are rubbish words)

    :D :D :D

Yep, that's them - chirpy husband and wife singing due. Back on black and white television when they wore full evening dress.

    It was another world entirely!

As well as "Marezee dotes..." there was:
"I got tears in my ears from lying on my back, Crying in my bed over you" :D

Remember the one about the "boom, boom box" on the beach? And "Close the door - they're coming through the windows, Close the door, they're coming up the stairs"? Never did find out what they were or what was in the box. Easily amused weren't we!

    God - I'm old :(
