Insulation?

    Does anyone know if there is a major differnce between the small bubble plastic & the lrg bubble type?

    The large bubble should give slightly more protection as insulation

    Steve is right. But I suspect there is not a lot of difference. Even plain polythene will give you most of the benefit in the same way as double glazing in the house.

    Having said that, I have a little program that tells me that the major source of heat loss from my house is through the double glazing. In Russia triple glazing is standard. The optimum gap is about three quarters of an inch, and newer double glazing is wider than the old.

    I think the large bubble lets a bit more light through, but thats just a guess.
