Hi, I hope someone can help me. I am new to gardening and don't know what this is.

A few weeks ago I bought this David Austin rambling rose and planted it near a wall in a sunny spot. It was a very healthy looking rose when I bought it but the new growth seems to be only producing shriveled leaves with brown spots on them. (see photos)

There is a pyrocanther a few meters away that also has shriveled leaves on the new growth and leaves that have a dark gray patch in the middle which seems to spread down the stem of the leaf and kill it off.

Are these caused by the same thing? And what can I do to get rid of it.

    Any help is much appreciated.
